Watch Meghan Markle’s Heartwarming Reaction to Her Wedding Dress and Veil

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has slowly adjusted to life as a member of the British Royal Family after officially joining “the firm” on May 19, marrying Prince Harry before millions of royals fans and viewers. But the Duchess of Sussex has proven time and time again that she is up for the task, revealing a cool, collected demeanor in even the most stressful of moments.

In a new preview clip of ITV documentary Queen of the World, Markle showed the same calm restraint when she got a final glimpse of her now-iconic wedding gown just one day before the wedding.

Markle, 37, smiles brightly as she views and feels her exquisite silk tulle wedding veil, which was hand-embroidered with flowers that represent the commonwealth.

“Fifty-three countries, oh my goodness,” she can be heard saying as she runs her hand over the delicate material. “It will keep us busy.”

“Ms. Markle expressed the wish of having all 53 countries of the Commonwealth with her on her journey through the ceremony,” Kensington Palace announced via Twitter prior to her and Prince Harry’s big day. “Ms. Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.”

The former Suits actress notably wore a navy Roland Mouret dress in the video snippet, not unlike the one she was photographed in while getting tea with her mother and the Queen the day before the wedding, leading eagle-eyed viewed to surmise that the veil segment was shot on that same day.

The documentary will feature official interviews with Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William, Duchess Kate and the rest of the royal family honoring the Queen and all that she has contributed on the global stage.

“Offering a unique insight into Her Majesty The Queen’s role as a figure on the global stage, this landmark series tells the story of how the Commonwealth has been a central focus and passion throughout Her Majesty’s life,” ITV said in a release.

Markle and Harry are set to depart on their first official royal tour later this fall, journeying to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and the Kingdom of Tonga on a trip that will coincide with the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney.
