Kim Kardashian couldn’t be happier for her brother-in-law Tristan Thompson who has just signed a deal with the Boston Celtics worth a reported $19 million (£14 million).
It was confirmed on Saturday that Tristan, ex-boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, would be moving to the Boston Celtics after nine years with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
However it could potentially mean he is once again pulled away from Khloe and their two-year-old daughter True, who he has isolated with for most of the coronavirus pandemic so far.
Still, Khloe’s older sister Kim was thrilled for Tristan and shared a photo of him wearing a Celtics jersey with the caption: ‘Congrats @realtristan13 Boston here we come!’ she added with green clover, basketball and champagne bottle emoji.
Khloe, who is yet to speak out on the news, famously quit Los Angeles full time and moved to Cleveland to live with Tristan when they began dating three years ago.
She moved back to LA with True following their split, which was caused after Tristan admitted to kissing Jordyn Woods at a party. However reconciliation rumours were sparked after it emerged Tristan had moved in with Khloe to help out with True after the reality star tested positive for coronavirus.
In a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Tristan, 29, was seen chatting to various members of Khloe’s family about his hopes of getting back together with her.
The NBA star told Malika Haqq: ‘We’re in a good space but, obviously you know, I lost my partner-in-crime, my taco Tuesday buddy. It’s like, damn. When it hits you, it hits you hard.
‘I put a lot of weight on opinions that didn’t matter. It’s ok to be deeply in love, you don’t lose your man power.’
He added: ‘I want my baby back.’
Khloe, 36, later let him down gently and admitted that while she had feelings for him, it wasn’t enough to reconcile.
She explained: ‘Do I love you? A million percent. Am I in love with you currently? No. But, would it be great if I could have this fairy tale ending? Yes.
‘Just because you have a family with someone also doesn’t mean you have to stay with someone if it’s not the best fit.’
The estranged couple were thought to be getting along well but fans were left confused after noticing Khloe had unfollowed Tristan on Instagram.
