Saginaw-area boys basketball rankings for week of Feb. 17:

Division 1

1. Mount Pleasant (15-0)

Mount Pleasant rolled past Arthur Hill and Heritage last week but heads into another big game Friday at Saginaw High, which is coming off a 68-63 loss to rival Arthur Hill. Last year, the Oilers beat the Trojans, 70-67.

2. Saginaw High (9-6)

Saginaw High saw its 12-game winning streak against Arthur Hill come to an end Saturday, settling for a split of the season series with a potential district matchup ahead. But the Trojans can’t dwell on the loss, with a pair of home games coming up Tuesday against Bay City John Glenn and Friday against undefeated Mount Pleasant.

3. Heritage (8-6)

Heritage couldn’t topple Mount Pleasant, falling 64-51 to the Oilers. The Hawks go on the road this week with a game Tuesday at Bay City Western before a rematch with Arthur Hill. In the first meeting, Heritage won, 69-62.

4. Arthur Hill (8-8)

Arthur Hill showcased its potential with a big win over Saginaw High, but the Lumberjacks face a busy week after the big win. After home games Tuesday and Friday against Midland Dow and Heritage, the Lumberjacks go on the road Saturday to face 9-6 Grand Rapids Union.

5. Midland High (2-13): Tuesday home vs. Bay City Central; Saturday at Traverse City St. Francis

6. Midland Dow (3-12): Tuesday at Arthur Hill; Friday home vs. Bay City Western

DIVISON 2

1. Bridgeport (16-1)

Bridgeport came back from a disappointing loss to rival Frankenmuth with a pair of impressive wins, beating Birch Run, 70-39, and Freeland, 84-39. Bridgeport is off until Friday when it travels to Swan Valley.

2. Carrollton (14-0)

Carrollton remains undefeated after a pair of wins over Valley Lutheran and Michigan Lutheran Seminary. The Cavaliers put their record on the line with a pair of road games this week, first against Ithaca Tuesday. The key Tri-Valley Conference West matchup, however, is Friday at Hemlock, a 14-1 Division 3 team with its only loss coming against Carrollton.

3. Frankenmuth (12-2)

Frankenmuth has won six straight games, including a 43-38 win over Bridgeport. The Eagles have a pair of home games this week, the first coming Tuesday against 6-11 Flint Hamady before a Friday TVC East game against Freeland.

4. Alma (12-4)

Alma has won four straight since falling to Bridgeport, including wins last week over Freeland (46-39) and Birch Run (69-46). After a home game Tuesday against 11-3 Ionia, the Panthers travel Friday to face Essexville Garber.

5. Clare (10-4)

Clare faced tough back-to-back Jack Pine Conference games last week, falling to Sanford Meridian, 56-51, before coming back the next day to beat Beaverton, 52-50. Clare faces Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart Wednesday before a Jack Pine game Friday at Harrison.

6. Shepherd (11-4): Tuesday at Breckenridge; Friday at Sanford Meridian

7. Freeland (10-6): Friday at Frankenmuth

8. Chesaning (6-8): Friday at Montrose

9. Caro (5-11): Wednesday at Cass City; Friday at Reese

10. Bullock Creek (5-10): Tuesday at Hemlock; Friday home vs. St. Charles

11. Swan Valley (2-15): Friday home vs. Bridgeport

12. Birch Run (2-12): Tuesday at Ovid-Elsie; Friday at Standish-Sterling

13. Gladwin (3-11): Wednesday home vs. Coleman; Friday at Pinconning

Division 3-4

1. Hemlock (14-1)

Hemlock fought off a pair of good Division 4 teams last week, beating Michigan Lutheran Seminary (49-43) and Saginaw Nouvel (46-38), but the Huskies will need to play better if they expect to beat Carrollton in a TVC West showdown Friday at Hemlock. First, the Huskies have a Tuesday date against Bullock Creek.

2. Unionville-Sebewaing (12-2)

Unionville-Sebewaing has recovered from its non-conference loss to Bridgpeort, knocking off Cass City and Caro in Greater Thumb action. The Patriots stay in the conference this week with a home game Wednesday against Vassar and a game Friday at Laker High.

3. Reese (13-4)

Since losing to Unionville-Sebewaing, Reese has reeled off five straight wins, including wins last week over Bad Axe and Laker. The Rockets are off until Friday when they take on Caro at home.

4. Beaverton (11-3)

Beaverton fell into a first-place tie in the Jack Pine after losing to Clare for the second time this season, 52-50, Saturday. The Beavers go on the road Wednesday for a non-conference game Tuesday at Montabella before a home game Friday against Farwell.

5. Sanford Meridian (13-3)

Meridian posted a pair of impressive wins last week, beating Ogemaw Heights Tuesday, 54-43, before a big Jack Pine Conference win Friday over Clare. Meridian heads into a tough Jack Pine game Friday at home against Shepherd.

6. Saginaw Nouvel (9-5): Tuesday home vs. Millington; Friday home vs. Ithaca

7. Millington (9-6): Tuesday at Saginaw Nouvel; Friday at Michigan Lutheran Seminary

8. Michigan Lutheran Seminary (7-7): Tuesday at Valley Lutheran; Friday home vs. Millington

9. St. Charles (6-9): Tuesday home vs. St. Louis; Friday at Bullock Creek

10. Breckenridge (9-6): Tuesday home vs. Shepherd; Thursday home vs. Vestaburg

11. Ithaca (6-9): Tuesday home vs. Carrollton; Friday at Saginaw Nouvel

12. Coleman (8-6): Wednesday at Gladwin; Friday home vs. Merrill
