Coffee County authorities investigating after discovery of two bodies at Estill Springs home

Sep. 21—Autopsies have been ordered for two people found shot dead Sunday morning at a home in Coffee County, Tennessee, while investigating agencies remain tight-lipped in the ongoing investigation.

The bodies of Chassity Kay Hill, 27, and Logan Tindale, 22, were found at a home in a part of the Estill Springs community just north of Woods Reservoir near the Franklin County line, according to 14th Judicial District Attorney General Craig Northcott.

Spokespersons for the Coffee County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on the investigation, deferring to Northcott on the details.

Northcott said Hill and Tindale were killed by gunshots at the home on Clyde Vickers Road where Hill lived. Tindale had no known address, Northcott said, but he has lived in Florida and Tennessee. Hill also has lived in nearby Moore County, he said.

Northcott said autopsy results are pending.

"My office is working closely with the Coffee County Sheriff's Department to diligently and fully pursue all avenues of investigation to [ensure] justice is obtained in this matter," Northcott said in an email.

There was no word on suspects or persons of interest.

Northcott said that "for the sanctity of the investigation" no more information would be released for now.

"My condolences and prayers are with the families of the victims," he said. "We hope to continue to make quick progress on this."

Anyone with information about the slayings is urged to call the Coffee County Sheriff's Office at 931-728-3591.
