Have you ever wanted Weezer to clean your house? The band is officially fulfilling that odd request… kind of.
The group announced on Monday (April 19) that they are teaming up with consumer robot company iRobot to create their own version of the autonomous cleaner, Roomba.
The collaboration is giving five lucky fans to win an iRobot Roomba i7 robot vacuum with a Weezer skin — or a “Wroomba.”
In a video announcing the fun new sweepstakes, the screen jokingly reads, “Studies show that 9/10 humans have dreamed of Weezer cleaning their house, but it simply wasn’t possible until now.”
The video then shows the CD-inspired Wroomba making its way across the floor, plus some hilarious “reviews” — including one from user MyNameisJonas1994 that reads, “Like having Weezer clean your home, but it actually gets clean,” and another from Weezer member Pat Wilson that says, “So much better at cleaning than human Rivers [Cuomo].”
Are you longing for a new friend? Perhaps a robot one that cleans up after you?
