RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Hump Day comes with some still-slick roads, but all of the major travel lanes should be clear. But with overnight temperatures in the 20s, be careful during your commute because there will be some slick spots.

For the third day, schools are closed as we deal with the aftermath of Sunday’s historic winter storm. Many neighborhood streets are still icy and unsafe for buses. Midterm exams have been impacted by the closures, but school officials in one district said they are hoping for at least a delayed start Thursday, if the roads show enough improvement.

Eastern Tennessee got a nice little jolt this morning with a 4.4 magnitude earthquake and a 3.3 magnitude aftershock. The quake hit just after 4 a.m. and there have been no reports of injuries, but the tremor was felt at least as far away as Atlanta.

There is one objectively good thing about the snow: It’s pretty. Richmond has a nice gleam of white on it, which is best viewed from above. There’s no better way to get that vantage point than Sky 12, which gave us some beautiful images of the city from a perspective you rarely get to see.
