Marion County continues to lead the state in total cases and deaths, with 10,885 cases and 665 deaths. Indiana's most populous county reported 54 new cases and four new deaths Friday. Most of the cases and tests were from Thursday, but two cases were reported from Wednesday and one death from June 10.

When cases and deaths are calculated per 10,000 residents, Marion County no longer tops the state in either category. Decatur County has the most deaths per 10,000 residents with 12, followed by Orange County (11.7) and Greene (9.1). Marion has 6.9 deaths per 10,000 residents.

Cass County, which had an outbreak at a meat plant in April, has the most cases per 10,000 residents by far, with 428. Elkhart County, which saw a surge in cases as the economic lockdown ended, has the second most with 120 cases per 10,000 residents. White, which shares a border with Cass, and Marion are the only other counties with more than 100 cases per 10,000 residents.

Hamilton, Hendricks and Johnson counties continue to have some of the highest case and death totals. Hamilton County reported 12 new cases Friday and no new deaths. It has had 96 total deaths and more than 1,300 positive cases. Johnson has had 1,185 cases and 116 deaths; Hendricks 1,296 cases and 94 deaths.

Lake County has the second-most deaths in the state with 233. It is one of four Indiana counties with more than 2,000 cases. Elkhart, Allen and Marion are the others.

Thirteen of Indiana's 92 counties have yet to report a COVID-19 death: Benton, Crawford, Jay, Knox, Martin, Ohio, Parke, Pike, Posey, Switzerland, Union, Vermillion and Wells. Many of those counties are also among those that have reported the fewest tests.

Much of Indiana moved into Stage 4 of the governor's reopening plan on June 12. Indianapolis entered the stage Friday with some special restrictions.
