D'Errico Jewelry manufacturing success as well as jewelry, as one of its staffers wins the company's second young talent award in a year

MOUNT KISCO, NY – D'Errico Jewelry is Westchester County's top jeweler, winning an abundance of awards for everything from its diamond knowledge to its 3D printing skills and designs. Yet the company's most important product may be a gift to the future: the nurturing and development of talents and skills of an upcoming generation of young jewelers.

In 2019 alone, D'Errico Jewelry has received two awards for its support of upcomming staffers from Westchester County's leading business media venues: Westfair Communuications granted a “Milli Award” to Jillian McDonnell, while Today Media named Leah Bella Zinder a “Wunderkind.”

Westfair publishes the Westchester Business Journal, while Today Media puts out Westchester and 914 Magazines, among other publications. “Although this brings the
number of major awards we've gotten to an even dozen, these two are truly special to us because they're about the young people who will help make our future,” says Richard D'Errico, himself a young star who began making is mark in the jewelry business while he was still in his teens.

Westfair has just named Jillian McDonnell as a 2019 Milli Award Winner. McDonnell, just 23, has worked for D'Errico Jewelry for just three years. In that time, she has discovered unexpected talents that have made her a top salesperson, created a new jewelry line of her own, and teamed up with non-profits to help them raise funds and increase their visibility.

“We believe in supporting people in achieving the full benefits of their talents,” says Richard D'Errico, the company's co-founder and owner. “It's wonderful watching a new generation grow and succeed,” he says.

“I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities Richie and Sal have given me,” McDonnell says. “To have my designs in the showcases of Westchester's top jeweler is not just incredibly generous, but really exciting.”

D'Errico Jewelry's Wunderkind, Leah Bella Zinder, is currently working towards her master's degree full time. Plaudits the company has received include the two talent awards, seven Best of Westchester awards, being named 914 Magazine's most philanthropic small business of the
year, and other awards for its creative achievements.

The company's log cabin stores are located at 159 East Main Street in Mount Kisco, NY, 914-864-2688, and at 509 Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale, NY, 914-722-1940. More
