HOUSTON (AP) — Anthony Odunsi made 12 of 15 free throws to total a career-high 22 points and lead Houston Baptist to a 77-66 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Southland Conference action on Monday night.
Houston Baptist bounced back from a 95-59 loss to conference-leading Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night.
Colter Lasher had 16 points and eight rebounds and Josh Ibarra scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting for HBU (11-10, 6-5).
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi held 44-35 advantage with 16 minutes to go, but an 11-4 run, capped by a Cody Stetler free throw, gave Houston Baptist a 53-52 lead with 8:23 to play.
Leading 67-62 with 1:13 left in the game, the Huskies outscored A&M-Corpus Christi 9-2 in the final minute to seal the win.
John Jordan and Rashawn Thomas had 18 points apiece and each grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Islanders (12-11. 7-4). Jordan added six assists and two steals.
