Edina PD: Missing Kids Mika-il Compton And Zaynab Compton 'Found Safe'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Edina police say 2-year-old Mika-Il Compton and 6-year-old Zaynab Compton have been found safe after they went missing from Southdale Center Friday.
Investigators made the announcement at about 11 a.m. Saturday, 18-and-a-half hours after the children were last seen at the mall.
"The two children have been found safe, because of social media and everyone who helped get the word out," said police on Twitter late Saturday morning.
Police say the children spent the night with an extended family member.
