CENTRAL BLOTTER: Man calls foul on feather found on chicken wing

Sheriff’s Office, West Palm Beach

Theft: A man in the 2300 block of Cypress Road reported the theft of a license plate from his truck.

Criminal mischief: A fence was damaged in the 800 block of Chase Road. The victim has an ongoing problem with a family in the neighborhood.

Criminal mischief: A woman in the 700 block of Dixie Lane found eggs thrown inside her vehicle.

Criminal mischief: A woman found the driver’s side door dented and window cracked on her vehicle parked in the 600 block of 18th Street South.

Sheriff’s Office, Lake Worth Beach

Criminal mischief: A woman was in her residence in the 400 block of North Dixie Highway when she heard a loud crash out front. She went to investigate and found her vehicle damaged. Both the windshield and the driver’s side window were cracked from a large chunk of concrete.

Theft: A mountain bike was stolen from outside a business in the 300 block of South Dixie Highway.

Criminal mischief: A woman struck a vehicle with a brick in the 4000 block of Urquhart Street, shattering the windshield.

Suspicious incident: A man in the 5700 block of Stonington Way told a deputy he was outside and confronted a man with a pit bull. The dog owner came close to him and grabbed his reading classes, which were hanging from his shirt. The man and dog left shortly after.

Theft: A man in a black Dodge Magnum pulled up to a gas station in the 7400 block of Lake Worth Road and grabbed three fishing poles from the open bed of a pickup. He drove off with the equipment, valued at $1,200. The owner of the pickup was in the store at the time of the theft. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

Theft: A woman in the 1700 block of Carson Avenue reported the theft of an Armani jacket. She sold the jacket via a website, however the buyer did not like it. He said he would keep it but for a lower price. She did not agree. When the jacket was sent back to her, the box was empty. She tried to contact the buyer, but he blocked her on the website. She told a deputy that the website is investigating the incident, but she remains without the money or the jacket.

Sheriff’s Office, Mangonia Park

Criminal mischief: A window was broken at an apartment in the 200 block of East Tiffany Drive. Nothing inside was disturbed. Damage was estimated at $450.

Criminal mischief: A window was broken on a car in the 4700 block of Australian Avenue. There were fresh markings on the side of the vehicle consistent with being struck by a basketball. Cost to replace the window was estimated at $215.

Lantana Police

Criminal mischief: A woman in the 500 block of South Broadway Street found all four tires slashed on her car. A derogatory word was scratched in the paint. She told police she had received numerous text messages from her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. She showed a threatening message to police, and said she saw the ex-girlfriend parked in the lot by her residence. The woman said her boyfriend received a call from his ex-girlfriend stating, “Good luck getting a ride, I took care of her car.” When the woman confronted the ex-girlfriend on the phone, the latter denied causing the damage.

Vehicle burglary: Someone entered a pickup in the 1300 block of West Palm Street during the night and stole $25 worth of tools and a digital radio. The thief also did about $300 in damage to the center console.

Vehicle burglary: A woman in the 1000 block of Julia Heights Drive was awakened around 2:20 a.m. by the sound of her car alarm. Afraid to go outside, she called police. An officer checked the vehicle, and it was determined that nothing was taken. The woman was unsure whether she locked her vehicle.

Vehicle burglary: A woman left her vehicle unlocked when she went into a store in the 1400 block of South Dixie Highway. When she came out, she saw that someone had removed her handicap parking placard.

Vehicle theft: Someone stole a brown Ford F-350 from the parking lot of a business in the 1800 block of West Lantana Road. The victim, who said he locked his truck, was in possession of the keys. Surveillance video of that area of the parking lot was not available.

Home burglary: A woman in the 600 block of North Fifth Street arrived home from work and found the front door and lock damaged. It appeared that no one entered the home. The woman said she believes her dogs started barking, frightening off the would-be burglar.

Sheriff’s Office, Royal Palm Beach

Disturbance: A patron at an establishment in the 12000 block of Southern Boulevard created an uproar after he allegedly found a feather on one of his chicken wings. A waiter suggested the patron was just trying to get a free meal, which led to a shouting match. The manager told the patron to leave. A deputy who responded to the scene was given a description of the distraught patron and was able to track him down. At the request of the manager, the man was given a trespass warning from the establishment. He told the deputy he was OK with it, as he never planned to return to the spot.

Theft: A woman was playing with her children at a park in the 1000 block of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard when her purse went missing. Contents included her wallet, debit card and state ID.

Vehicle burglary: A man in the 1400 block of Briar Oak Court reported the theft of his firearm and headphones from his vehicle. He was unsure of where the crime occurred. He said he reviewed the video surveillance at this residence and did not see anyone enter the vehicle.

Sheriff’s Office, Wellington

Theft: A youngster left his iPhone in his backpack while playing basketball at a park in the 11700 block of Pierson Road. Someone stole the phone. Another player also had his cellphone stolen from his backpack.

Theft: A woman misplaced her iPhone at one of two stores in the 800 block of South State Road 7. When she realized her phone was missing, she went back to both locations but could not find it. She was unable to track the phone on other devices, as someone had shut it off.

Sheriff’s Office, Loxahatchee/Acreage

Theft: A woman reported the theft of her purse from a room at a medical facility in the 13000 block of Southern Boulevard. Contents included her driver’s license, several debit cards and cash.

Disturbance: A man in a facility in the 16300 block of 84th Court North was being disruptive according to a staff member who reported that the teen was breaking small items in the residence. Property damage was less than $100. The owner of the facility refused to press charges.

Sheriff’s Office, Greenacres

Open container: Two men were arrested after a deputy saw them enjoying cans of beer outside a store in the 5200 block of Lake Worth Road. They were given notices to appear in court.

Theft: Someone stole a license plate from a truck parked in the driveway of a residence in the 3100 block of Walker Avenue. Nothing else was taken, nor was the truck damaged.

Robbery: A man outside a store in the 4000 block of South Military Trail told a deputy that two men snatched two bags of groceries belonging to him.
