Ivanka, a senior advisor to the president, and her husband of 10 years Jared Kushner, 38, also an adviser, have three children, Arabella, 8, Joseph, 6, and Theodore, 3.

As White House advisers, the couple have had a busy week as the public impeachment inquiry against their boss got underway.

They were also in New York to help Ivanka's older brother Donald Jr launch his new book 'Triggered' which has topped the New York Times  bestseller list.

Two days previously, Ivanka kept cozy in shades of blue as she stepped out of her Washington, D.C. home on Thursday after hosting a book party for her brother Don Jr. the night before.

The 38-year-old first daughter wore a cornflower blue mock-turtleneck sweater tucked into a navy pleated skirt when she headed to work at about 9:45 a.m., looking well-rested despite being out the night before.

The White House senior adviser seemed to be in great spirits considering Wednesday marked the first public House impeachment hearing against her father, President Donald Trump, who has been calling the inquiry a 'hoax' and a 'sham.'

Democrats are investigating whether the president abused his office when he pressed the Ukrainian government to investigate his political rivals, but Ivanka didn't seem worried when she headed to work on Thursday.

This week, Ivanka's husband, fellow White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, gave a wave as he headed to work a little after 7:30 a.m.

On the evening of the first impeachment hearings, Ivanka and Jared, 38, hosted an invite-only celebration for her older brother, Don Jr. in honor of his new book, 'Triggered.'

The first daughter wore a silky pink pajama-inspired suit to the soiree, which was held at Top of the Hay, an event venue at the Hay-Adams hotel that has panoramic views of the White House and city skyline.

Jared toasted his brother-in-law for the success of his new book, announcing that 'Triggered' had reached number one on The New York Times bestseller list.

'For one day, and for one hour, we’ll say that they did some real news,' he said.

Kushner was seen alongside his smiling brother-in-law and Don Jr’s girlfriend, former Fox News co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Jared was seen later in the evening leaving the Off The Record bar in The Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington DC with wife Ivanka.

In his toast, Kushner praised Don Jr’s political activism. ‘I’ve seen him and his siblings travel the country and really fall in love with so many of the different things this country has...and the impact that he is having is incredible,’ Kushner said.

‘We are very proud of his book.’ Kushner even offered up a rare, tiny glimpse into his own personal mindset on his family’s move to the nation’s capital to take up posts as senior advisers to the President.

‘For Ivanka and myself, coming down to Washington - it’s been a unique experience,’ he said, referring to his wife, Ivanka Trump.

‘We joke that we don’t get paid for this job but having the friendship of all of you and getting the opportunity to meet all of you makes it an incredibly worthwhile experience.’

Kushner added: ‘So I just want to thank all of you for being here today and for celebrating this book, which is driving people crazy, which is Don’s specialty.’

Don Jr interjects: ‘Hence the title!’ Don Jr.'s book did debut at number one on The New York Times bestseller list on Wednesday evening — but with a dagger symbol next to it denoting the placement is likely due to a significant number of bulk sales.

Some see the dagger icon as an indication that the author bought their way onto the list with the bulk purchases.

Weeks before the book was released, the Republican National Committee offered a signed copy of Triggered for anyone who donated $50 or more.

Don Jr.'s father also reportedly gamed The New York Times bestseller list by having the Trump Organization buy his book when he released 'The Art of the Deal' in 1987, years before the publication started using the dagger symbol to protect the integrity of the ranking.

Ivanka recently denied that her family has profited off the presidency and claimed that the difference between her family and Democrat Joe Biden's is that President Donald Trump amassed his fortune before he entered politics while Biden's wealth is 'derivative' of his time in office.

'His wealth, and our wealth, collectively and independently, was created prior to government service and prior to anyone in our lives having run for elected office,' Ivanka Trump said.

'Most people do create their wealth post service. We created ours prior,' she added.

Members of Congress must follow strict rules while in office to avoid financial and other conflicts of interest. Many pursue higher-paying opportunities after they leave office.
