DNA testing to be discussed during OHCE Genealogy meeting

DNA testing and its use as a tool to explore family ethnicity and history will be the topic of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education Genealogy group this month.

Jo Ann Day Banse will present a discussion on “Genesis GEDmatch” during the group's meeting at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Center, 2500 NE 63. Banse will offer some insight into what the company offers consumers as they explore their DNA.

The Oklahoma Home and Community Education Genealogy group meets on the third Wednesday of the month. For more information, go to ohcegenealogy.com or search ohcegenealogy on Facebook. Attendees are required to wear face masks at the meeting, which is open to the public.
