Chapman Freeborn appoints chief legal officer

Air charter specialist Chapman Freeborn, which is part of Avia Solutions Group, has appointed Zori Marshall into the role of chief legal officer (CLO).

Marshall, who has more than a decade of experience in corporate and commercial law, was previously head of legal, and head of commercial and procurement at SSE Energy Solutions.

In her new role, Marshall will focus on Chapman Freeborn Group’s commercial delivery, as well as working on an integrated strategy aligned across the Avia Solutions Group.

Her knowledge and experience along with her passion and drive will add great value to our business partners and our people. I am very convinced that Zori will be incredibly successful in her new role.”

Marshall said: “My career has always been in the oil and gas, energy and renewable sectors, so the aviation industry is new and exciting for me. I speak five languages fluently: Bulgarian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese – joining Chapman Freeborn in a global role will give me the opportunity to use my languages more, which is one of the things that attracted me to the role.”

She added: “As part of this role I am keen to expand on policies Chapman Freeborn already has in place: inclusion and diversity, health and safety, environment and social governance, drawing from my previous experience.”

Marshall graduated from the University of Toulouse in France with a Bachelor’s Degree in International, European and Comparative Law. She then obtained a Master’s in International Business Law and, more recently, she completed her Master’s Degree at The University of Liverpool – Master of Science, International Management specialising in Energy.
