LEXINGTON - The dominos are starting to fall for Kentucky basketball recruiting.

On Thursday, five-star guard Skyy Clark committed to the Wildcats over finalists North Carolina, Memphis and UCLA. Currently ranked as the No. 14 prospect in the 2022 class by the 247Sports Composite, Clark has been widely rumored to be considering a move to the 2021 class to play in college next season.

Clark, ranked as the No. 3 combo guard in the 2022 class, could be John Calipari's next instant-impact freshman point guard. He has long been viewed as one of Kentucky's top recruiting targets regardless of which class he graduates from. Clark will play the upcoming season at Brentwood Academy outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

Clark is unlikely to be the last Kentucky commitment in the coming weeks.

Four-star forward and former Louisville commitment Bryce Hopkins is believed to be nearing a decision with Kentucky currently holding 100% of the analyst predictions for his commitment in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Kentucky is also a leading contender for five-star guards Jaden Hardy and Hunter Sallis. A Clark move to the 2021 class (where UK already holds a commitment from four-star point guard Nolan Hickman) could affect those players' decisions, but there should be room for multiple star guards on Kentucky's 2021-22 roster regardless with current freshmen B.J. Boston and Terrence Clarke expected to be one-and-done NBA draft lottery picks.

The Wildcats are also pursuing five-star forwards Daimon Collins and Moussa Diabate in the 2021 class and recently offered a scholarship to three-star Wisconsin prep shooting guard Brandin Podziemski.
