There's a new #1 team in HSOT football rankings, entire NAC ranked, 7 new teams total

Knightdale's appearance in the top 25 means that the Northern Athletic 4A Conference has all six teams in this week's rankings -- No. 6 Heritage, No. 7 Millbrook, No. 10 Rolesville, No. 11 Wake Forest, No. 16 Wakefield, and No. 23 Knightdale.

West Top 25: Hough and Chambers switch spots after the Huskies handed the Cougars their first loss of the season. Myers Park jumps up two spots after an overtime win against East powerhouse Cardinal Gibbons, Reagan falls a few spots after losing to Glenn, and there are three new teams this week: Ledford, East Surry, and CHASE replace Davie County, Charlotte Christian, and Olympic.

Others considered for this week's rankings include Shelby, Hendersonville, Statesville, South Point, Kings Mountain, Eastern Randolph, and Mount Airy.

East Top 25: The biggest move this week was due to Jacksonville's upset of New Bern. The Cardinals catapult into 12th while the Bears fall 10 spots into 13th. There was an influx of four new teams as Panther Creek, Princeton, Knightdale, and Southern Nash replace Havelock, Clinton, Kinston, and Cape Fear. Knightdale's appearance in the top 25 means that the Northern Athletic 4A Conference has all six teams in this week's rankings — No. 6 Heritage, No. 7 Millbrook, No. 10 Rolesville, No. 11 Wake Forest, No. 16 Wakefield, and No. 23 Knightdale.

Others considered for this week's rankings include Laney, Pine Forest, South Brunswick, Hillside, Whiteville, East Duplin, and Harrells Christian.
