Connecticut reports 1 new COVID-19 death, 1.5% infection rate: Lamont

HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut reported one new COVID-19 death on Wednesday as its infection rate ticked up to 1.5 percent, Gov. Ned Lamont said.

Of the 10,074 COVID-19 test results that came back on Tuesday, 155, or 1.5 percent, were positive, Lamont tweeted. The state reported a 1.1 percent infection rate on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday night, 73 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by three from Monday, he said. The new COVID-19 fatality brought the state’s death toll to 4,497, data from its health department shows.
