The Sentimental Story Behind Beanie Feldstein's Unique Engagement Ring

Beanie Feldstein's engagement ring is as unique as they come. Just a few days after announcing that she's engaged to girlfriend Bonnie Chance Roberts, the "Funny Girl" star showed off her new stone during a "Late Night With Seth Meyers" appearance on June 27. The ring is shaped like a flower, with one large, central diamond surrounded by 14 smaller teardrop stones that resemble petals, all set on yellow gold. It sparkled bright as Feldstein gushed about Roberts's elaborate surprise proposal, which involved many of her family members and close friends. "Turns out everyone in my life was lying to me," she joked.

London-based jeweler Michelle Oh custom-designed Feldstein's ring and shared several close-up pictures on Instagram, along with details about how the piece came to life. "Bonnie told me that she wanted to create the most special ring possible. Something that was kind of vintage inspired in aesthetic and really one of a kind, like a rare flower in bloom," Oh wrote. She added that "a very sentimental little diamond" from Roberts's mom's ring was also embedded into the band and hidden underneath the floral cluster. Feldstein showed her appreciation for Oh's handiwork by commenting on her post, "the most beautiful ring to ever exist i'm so grateful," while Roberts wrote, "Beyond my dreams and imagination! Most perfect ring for the most perfect girl."

Vintage-inspired designs have been a popular engagement ring choice among celebrities this year, but Feldstein's is one of the more unique and meaningful takes on the trend. Read ahead to zoom in on the star's new accessory.
