A new shop on Main Street in New Rochelle is all for the dogs.

Bark n Bones, owned by Lottice Williams, offers dog essentials, including food and leashes, as well as fun products like toys, costumes and outerwear. The store held its grand opening on Oct. 15.

"We chose New Rochelle because New Rochelle is the new Westchester mega city," said Williams.

According to Williams, she chose New Rochelle's Main Street for her business because there was a lack of pet stores in the city's downtown area. Throughout the summer, to prepare for her grand opening, Williams held an ice cream social for dogs in July and added a beauty spa to the location in August.

"As a dog owner myself, I'm always on the lookout for unique dog products and Bark n Bones really has it all," said Robert Hayes, president of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. "The grand opening will be the launch of some innovative programs and products for dog owners across the city."
