London: Bahrain's Fatima Abdulrazzaq won a gold medal in the shot put competition (F-53) of the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships, being held in London, the UK.
The Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) Honorary President Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa offered the landmark global sporting achievement to the wise leadership.
He also extended congratulations to His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Led by national coach Khalifa Abdulla Khalifa, Fatima Abdulrazzaq claimed the gold medal despite the rainy weather.
The Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij Al-Khalifa and board members also congratulated the leadership Shaikh Nasser, Shaikh Khalid as well as BDSF administrative and technical staff.
