A group dedicated to autism advocacy and research held a fundraising event Saturday at Renninger’s Farmers Market in Maxatawny Township.

The Berks County-based Team Soldier 620 of Autism Speaks played host to “Stomping Out Autism.” The event included games for kids, a visit from local firefighters and rides in Cinderella’s carriage by Bee Tree Trail.

The group said it plans to hold a fundraising raffle at Renninger’s at 1 p.m. on April 15 and to take part in an autism walk at the Bethlehem Steel Stacks on April 16.
