No New Coronavirus Deaths Again In Southwest PA

PITTSBURGH, PA — There were no new coronavirus deaths in Allegheny County on Sunday, the county health department announced on Monday. The death toll in the county during the outbreak remains at 151.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,912, up from 1,911 on Sunday and 1,897 on Saturday.

Three hundred and forty people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were no new hospitalizations on Sunday.

With 589 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 447 in Westmoreland County, 229 in Butler County and 139 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,316. That's up from 3,315 on Sunday and 3,269 on Saturday.

According to the state Department of Health, 279 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty-one in Allegheny County, 73 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County. There were no new deaths on Sunday.
