Long Beach legends will hit the sand at the BeachLife Festival as the South Bay’s biggest concert adds more bands to its already stacked lineup of music May 1-3.

Sublime with Rome, along with the Long Beach Dub Allstars, who both just performed at the One Love Cali Reggae Fest in Long Beach, are among the new acts festival officials announced Feb. 19.

Joining them as part of the new group of bands announced for the second edition of the festival at Redondo Beach’s Seaside Lagoon is singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat, Torrance rockers Joker’s Hand, reggae DJ King Yellowman and Hermosa Beach natives Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds, the latter two of which also just performed at One Love.

“We’re super super stoked to be back. It’s in my backyard,” said Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds lead singer Moises Juarez, whose band also performed the inaugural BeachLife Festival.

Juarez is very familiar with the area since he used to be a waiter at the Cheesecake Factory steps from Seaside Lagoon.

“The South Bay has been needing something like this for a long time and we finally have it. The lineup is fantastic; this festival is a longtime coming in the South Bay,” he said.

Also on the lineup are previously announced bands including the Steve Miller Band, Counting Crows, and Ziggy and Stephen Marley, who will be performing Bob Marley tunes in celebration of their late father’s 75th birthday, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and G. Love & Special Sauce.

Three-day general admission passes are $299 and VIP passes are $749. The Captain’s Pass, which includes additional perks like backstage access, drinks and valet parking are $1,895 and can be purchased at beachlifefestival.com.
