30 new shows form a new season of entertainment at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre featuring Sir Roger Moore, Lesley Garrett, Brendan Cole, the return of The Fizzogs, Meera Syal's new production of ANITA & ME, David Walliams' acclaimed GANGSTA GRANNY and the West End celebration of Michael Jackson - THRILLER LIVE.

THE STARS OF THE COMMITMENTS kick off the new season - a 9 piece soul band featuring actual cast members from the original Commitments film who have performed world-wide to hundreds of thousands of people (including a US President). They perform all the hits from the multi-million selling soundtrack albums and the Oscar Nominated, Golden Globe & BAFTA award winning film: Mustang Sally, Chain of Fools, Take Me To The River, Try A Little Tenderness, Nowhere to Run, In The Midnight Hour and many more on Sunday 23 October.

BRUMMEGEM PALS on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 October is written by and stars Malcolm Stent and Don Maclean. It tells the story of Jacky and Danny, two Brummie lads who lead ordinary lives. In 1914, with the threat of war rumbling around Europe, Jacky thinks enlisting is the chance to get away from their humdrum existence. He talks Danny into joining up with him and although under age they enlist in one of Birmingham's 'pals battalions'. Don and Malcolm lead a cast of thirteen in this play, which features original songs and songs from the trenches.

The Fizzogs presents A BLACK COUNTRY FAIRYTALE... AY IT! On Thurs 27 October, the creators of internet sensation The Dancing Grannies with over 200 million views world wide bring another non-traditional tale of fantasy, perfected in a single afternoon's rehearsal! Not one, not two, but a few fairytales interwoven, with an added Black Country twist to spice things up a bit.

BACK TO BACHARACH on Friday 28 October celebrates the magical music of Burt Bacharach, one of the most accomplished popular composers of the 20th Century, who together with Hal David penned some of the most memorable and iconic hits that stand the test of time. Songs featured in the show include Alfie, Anyone Who Had A Heart, Arthur's Theme, Always Something There To Remind Me, Close To You, I Say A Little Prayer For You, Magic Moments, Walk On By, What's New Pussycat?, 24 Hours from Tulsa, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head and many more.

VAMPIRES ROCK - GHOST TRAIN on Saturday 29 October returns to Wolverhampton having clocked up over 3000 live performances, five star reviews and over a million sales nationwide. Steve Steinman has ramped up the vamp in this spectacular sequel to the phenomenally successful Vampires Rock Musical Concert.

From the writer of Journey's End comes the thriller HOME AT SEVEN from Tuesday 1 - Saturday 5 November. Starring Coronation Street's Richard Hillman - Brian Capron and Jenny Funnell (As Time Goes By). The play centres around David Preston who returns home from work at 7pm as usual only to find that 24 hours have elapsed and it is now a day later than he thought. Suffering from apparent amnesia he and his already upset wife get another shock when evidence incriminates him in a murder committed during the time he cannot account for.

80'S MANIA features 25 chart topping pop icons authentically recreated with live band and a team of dancers on Saturday 12 November. Performing over 35 chart topping smash-hits live in concert, with tributes to Duran Duran, The Human League, Kim Wilde, Culture Club, Madonna, Wham!, Nena, Toni Basil, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Bananarama, Dead or Alive, Madness and more.

On Thursday 17 November, AN AFTERNOON WITH SIR ROGER MOORE celebrates 71 years in show business, the Hollywood legend and James Bond star chats with biographer Gareth Owen about his extraordinary life and career. Featuring inside stories and exclusive anecdotes from an astonishing career that has included the hit TV series The Saint and The Persuaders, plus Hollywood blockbusters and, of course, seven iconic movies as the world's most famous spy, 007. There will also be a unique opportunity for the audience to ask their own questions, live, to Sir Roger at the end of the show.

THE SOLID GOLD ROCK AND ROLL SHOW features the original 'dreamboats', Marty Wilde, Eden Kane, Mike Berry, and The Wildcats, as well as very special guest Mark Wynter on Thursday 24 November.

AN AUDIENCE WITH LESLEY GARRETT on Saturday 26 November is hosted by Nick Owen and sees Britain's most popular soprano for a delightful evening of song, reminiscences and chat. Her behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes will give audiences a unique insight into her life on the stage as well as performing with the English and Welsh National Operas.

JEHTRO - 40 YEARS THE JOKER is an endless stream of the irreverent twaddle that has created a comedy genius. Over 4 million DVD sales pay testament to the legion of fans who have followed Jethro faithfully throughout his career. Now, with stories old and new we present, live on stage, for one night only in Wolverhampton on Monday 16 January.

BRENDAN COLE - ALL NIGHT LONG is a brand new show on Thursday 26 January. Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole hosts another spectacular production featuring his guest dancers, singers and 14 piece band live on stage.

NIGHTS ON BROADWAY is tribute to the Bee Gees on Friday 27 January, featuring the Gibb brothers incredible songs from over four decades - from the 60s to the 90s. The show gives the audience the experience of being at a Bee Gees concert, with a unique blend of classic hits, acoustic medleys and dance floor favourites.

SENSATIONAL 60S EXPERIENCE is back by huge popular demand, for one night only three hours of nonstop 60's nostalgia on Saturday 28 November. Seven legendary names take to the stage and deliver to you a night never to be forgotten. With the definite feel good factor this is the must see 60's show for 2017. Step back to when pop music was at its very best. Hits include I'm Into Something Good, Out Of Time, Hippy Hippy Shake, Storm In A Tea Cup plus many more.

THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA will give audiences a feel for the Forties as RAY McVay presents the Big Band show featuring In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, American Patrol, Little Brown Jug, Tuxedo Junction and Chattanooga Choo Choo on Sunday 29 January.

BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY is not just feel good... it's FEEL GREAT! From Tuesday 31 January - Saturday 4 February experience the drama, passion and excitement as a cast of phenomenally talented actors and musicians tell Buddy Holly's story, from his meteoric rise to fame, to his final legendary performance at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. Featuring two terrific hours of the greatest songs ever written, including That'll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, Johnny B. Goode, Raining In My Heart, Everyday, Shout and many many more, this show is just Peggy Sue-perb!

The Russian State Ballet of Siberia return for their annual visit to Wolverhampton and present THE NUTCRACKER on Sunday 5 February, SWAN LAKE on Monday 6, COPPELIA on Tuesday 7.

SOME GUYS HAVE ALL THE LUCK - THE ROD STEWART STORY is a brand new theatrical production celebrating the career of one of rocks greatest icons, Rod Stewart - from street busker through to international superstar. Paul Metcalfe assumes the persona of the legendary singer-songwriter and performer right down to the last detail - from the distinctive vocals to the swaggering showmanship and sheer fun that have made Rod Stewart one of the most loved performers of all time.

The Bafta Award winning BEN & HOLLY'S LITTLE KINGDOM returns to the stage on Friday 10 & Saturday 11 February and is an exciting, enchanting and magical musical adventure packed full of games, songs and laughter. This beautiful story of elves, princesses and childhood innocence will delight all the family!

From Tuesday 14 - Saturday 18 February, Meera Syal's ANITA & ME is poignant coming-of-age tale follows Meena, a young girl growing up in the only Punjabi family in a 1970s Black Country mining village. Meena spends her days happily getting into scrapes with the other local children until one day the impossibly cool Anita enters her life. Suddenly Meena knows exactly who she wants to be but is Anita all that she seems? Soon Meena's world is turned upside down as she is caught between two very different cultures. ANITA & ME paints a comic, poignant, compassionate and colourful portrait of village life in the era of flares, power cuts, glam rock, decimalisation and Ted Heath. It has been adapted for the stage by the multi-award-winning Tanika Gupta.

THRILLER LIVE comes direct from London's West End where it is now in its record breaking 8th year! From Tuesday 21 - Saturday 25 February, this is a spectacular concert created to celebrate the career of the world's greatest entertainer - Michael Jackson. Seen by over 3.5 million people in over 30 countries, THRILLER LIVE continues to moonwalk around the world on a visual, audio and electrifying journey through the magic of Michael's 45 year musical history.

BILLY FURY - HALFWAY TO PARADISE returns on Wednesday 8 March for their 20th anniversary tour and with stunning new live screen footage, Billy's own band, the all original Furys Tornados, are able to play live once more in an electric and emotional concert.

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL is a hilarious all-singing, all -dancing comedy packed full of one-liners about night sweats, hot flushes and memory loss, backed by an instantly recognisable soundtrack and innuendo-laden versions of 60's, 70's and 80's pop classics on Thursday 9 March.

THE UPBEAT BEATLES take you through the Fab Four's long and winding road from the early Cavern days through Beatlemania, America, Sergeant Pepper to Abbey Road, with narrative and full multi-media presentation on Friday 10 March.

ALL SHOOK UP see's Wolverhampton Musical Comedy Company (MUSCOM) return with a brand new production from Tuesday 14 - Saturday 18 March. It's 1955 and when a guitar-playing roustabout rides into a square little town in a square little state everyone and everything changes. Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley this lip-curling, hip-swivelling musical comedy based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night will have you rockin' out of your 'Blue Suede Shoes' and leave you 'All Shook Up' with the classic hits such as 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Can't Help Falling in Love' and many more...

From the acclaimed producers of Horrible Histories comes the world premiere of the much loved story by David Walliams, GANGSTA GRANNY from Wednesday 22 - Sunday 26 March. It's Friday night and Ben knows that means only one thing - staying with Granny! There will be cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake and Ben knows one thing for sure - it's going to be sooooooooo boring! But what Ben doesn't know is that Granny has a secret - and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could ever imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny!

West Bromwich Operatic Society present the smash hit musical ROCK OF AGES from Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 April. It's the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood and takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This production is on sale now.

The new season goes on sale exclusively to Friends of the Grand for priority booking from 11am Friday 17 June 2016 with sales open to the general public from 11am Wednesday 22 June 2016.
