Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football continues to cash in on its most successful season in 17 years.

SU Athletics has sold 6,800 new season tickets this offseason, athletic director John Wildhack said during a press conference on Friday. That’s already roughly 4,500 more than Syracuse sold last offseason, and the figure is inching toward SU’s single-year record of just over 8,000.

Wildhack also reiterated that Syracuse has seen a season-ticket renewal rate of over 90 percent -- a figure that was achieved when the school crossed the 4,000 new-season-ticket threshold on April 1.

The Orange will look to build on last year’s 10-3 campaign during Year 4 of the Dino Babers era this fall. SU faces its most manageable schedule since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2013 and returns experience and talent at the majority of its position groups. Replacing three starters on the offensive line and both of its starting linebackers are viewed as the most significant overhauls.

Fans looking to purchase tickets in-person for the 2019 season should go to the Ensley Athletic Center starting Monday. The Carrier Dome box office will be moved there to facilitate renovations.
