Dr. Adam Maass, an endocrinologist in Cave Springs, Arkansas, was released from custody on a $50,000 bond Thursday.Maass was arrested Wednesday on one charge of sexual assault, according to Nathan Smith, the county prosecutor.According to an affidavit for probable cause, a woman told Cave Springs police in February 2022 that Maass had touched her breast without her consent while performing a medical exam in March 2021.The judge signed off on more than one no contact order in the case. The next proceedings were scheduled for July 18, 2022.A police detective learned there were at least ten other women reporting similar experience with Maass, according to the affidavit.Earlier this year, the Arkansas State Medical Board suspended his license after seven individual complaints of sexual misconduct.After a review, the board reinstated his license.A notice on Maass' office last week stated he's closing his practice. We went to his office to try to talk to him, but he was not available.The notice said he's closing because of financial concerns, and that starting next month, he'll only provide care virtually.
