State to auction off more than 300 vehicles later this month

The state will hold a car auction later this month.

The auction will take place place at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, 488 Firehouse Road in East Hanover Township.

More than 300 vehicles will be available for public purchase. The vehicles were seized by state law enforcement agencies or were used by state government agencies.

A variety of vehicles no longer used by state government agencies including front- and all-wheel drive sedans, mini-vans, pick-up trucks, SUVs, utility vehicles and more from manufacturers including Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Dodge, GMC, and Jeep. Included in the 300 vehicles are 85 police vehicle models such as Crown Victoria sedans.

Pre-registration and in-person previewing of the vehicles will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and runs through Sunday, October 24 at the Grantville-area auction site. Pre-registration is mandatory and must be completed by 4 p.m. Sunday, October 24.

Buyers must purchase the vehicles with certified funds in the form of money order, cashier’s check or certified check.
