The ‘glamp life’ sure seems to suit Miranda Lambert! The “Bluebird” singer and husband Brendan McLoughlin just made the first road trip in their brand new Airstream, and they went big — in less than a week’s time, the couple traveled all the way from Nashville, Tennessee, to New York to visit family. Judging by Lambert’s description of their epic adventure, they’re already having a blast in their tiny, shiny home on wheels.

Lambert shared details about the pair’s journey on Instagram Monday, writing, “Hey y’all. Just an update on glamp life. We spent the last week taking #TheSherrif on his first road trip. We camped our way to see our NY family. 6 days: 4 states: 1000 miles.” The country superstar went on to describe their route from Nashville to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, up through Pennsylvania and into New York.

“It was a nice change of pace. Something about the highway is calming, and at the same time keeps you completely focused,” she explained. “I like to drive a lot because most of my adult life I’ve been driven around on a tour bus to play music (which I love and miss terribly… obvs @db102681 ). B drives too and is the best navigator.”

Of course, Lambert and McLoughlin are RV newbies. They learned on-the-road tricks and mastered a few new things over the course of their trip. “We can set up camp in under 10 minutes once we pull in. Took a few times but we worked out the kinks,” wrote Lambert, noting that she’s celebrating in one of the photos because she “backed the trailer into the campsite.”

That wasn’t the only standout achievement, either. “One of my favorite things on this trip was making dads classic recipe ‘campfire casserole’ in our Dutch Oven on the camp fire coals! Of course we had to face time Rick Lambert to make sure we knew the tricks of the trade, but Brendan has cooking anything in this cast iron down to an art now,” Lambert gushed of her husband’s campfire cooking skills.

And it sounds like there’s more fun where that came from. Lambert ended her “glamp life” update by promising to share more of her and McLoughlin’s adventures as they go on them. Here’s looking forward to the next installment!
