Central New York students commended by colleges

Area students who recently received recognition from their colleges include:

Colgate University students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade earn the spring 2020 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. The following students have been awarded the Dean's Award at Colgate: Mackenzie Gregg of Cazenovia and Morgan Gregg of Cazenovia.

Colgate University students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2020 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction. The following students have earned the Dean's Award with Distinction from Colgate: Olivia Miller of Hamilton, Kailey Paul of Chittenango, Tarik Cigeroglu of Hamilton, David Maynard of Hamilton, Michael Jones of Hamilton, Samuel Evans of Canastota, Nathan Romig of Cazenovia, Jacob Shaffner of Cazenovia, Aidan Woods of Hamilton, Lucille Langan of Cazenovia and Ryan Rios of Hamilton.

Katherine MacPherson of Hamilton was named to the Dean's List at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed fall 2020 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Nazareth students named to the fall 2020 Dean's List must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth. They included: Shae D'Arcangelis of Oneida, Thomas Daviau of Chittenango, Isabel Hilliker of Chittenango, Sara Joerger of Hamilton, Sarah Mantz of Chittenango, Danielle McCallops of Canastota, Thomas McIntosh of Chittenango, Jordan Rabe of Canastota, Alexa Rossi of Canastota, Braelyn Saunders of Oneida, Kevin Underwood of Kirkville, Mikaylee Whalen of Erieville, Rachel Wilson of Chittenango and Christian Winkler of Cazenovia.

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the fall 2020 Term. The Dean's List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who were registered for at least 12 computable credit hours and who earned a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher. Students included: Mackenzie Decker of Kirkville, Anna Kempf of New Woodstock, Kathryn Kielbasinski of Cazenovia.

Class of 2023 member Emma Wardell of Cazenovia has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester at the University of Vermont. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
