Chicken wings, beer and a visit from adoptable dogs were the makings of a laid-back summer evening at the Hooters of Boca Raton’s fourth annual Pooches on the Patio event on Friday, July 26. Guests who dined on the patio — some with their own pooches — helped to raise $1,300 for Tri-County Animal Rescue‘s new animal hospital that will provide low cost veterinary care for the community and the shelter’s animals.

“We were thrilled to team up with Tri-County Animal Rescue for the fourth year in a row to help raise funds for their organization,” Hooters of Boca Raton managing partner Chris Torelli said in a statement.

There was live music by Las Olas and raffle prizes.

The 100% no-kill rescue at 21287 Boca Rio Road saves animals in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Martin counties, among other areas. It recently saved dogs from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China and animals affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

The facility is open for adoptions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
