Broncos had a virtual pre-draft visit with WR Dax Milne

The Denver Broncos had a virtual pre-draft visit with BYU wide receiver Dax Milne, according to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo. Denver also recently had pre-draft video calls with Notre Dame tight end Tommy Tremble and Oklahoma State offensive tackle Teven Jenkins.

Milne (6-1, 190 pounds) is expected to be a late-round pick in the NFL draft (he is not among Draft Wire’s top 30 WRs in this year’s class). While the Broncos are deep at WR, using a late-round pick on a prospect like Milne wouldn’t be surprising given his potential value on special teams.

Milne benefited from quarterback Zach Wilson‘s breakout season last fall, catching 70 passes for 1,188 yards and eight touchdowns. In his first two seasons, Milne totaled just 31 catches for 354 yards and three scores.

In addition to his receiver duties, Milne also returned two kickoffs for 32 yards and returned 12 punts for 60 yards during his three years with the Cougars. He totaled 1,740 all-purpose yards while at BYU.

Denver owns nine picks in this year’s draft, including three picks in the seventh round. Milne might be among the team’s late-round targets.
