Memphis basketball mailbag: A look at the two most glaring areas for improvement

The Tigers left South Dakota last week with some adjustments to make. 

The Memphis basketball team's 1-2 showing didn't inspire much confidence in a fan base that had high hopes for Year 3 of the Penny Hardaway era – which was evident after digging through the mailbag (as well as the email inbox). 

The Tigers are scheduled to have a few days to work on some things before getting back on the floor against Arkansas State at 7 p.m. Wednesday in their home opener at FedExForum. The team is also set to host Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. Friday.
