The Tehama County Farm Bureau is to have a three weeks’ intensive drive for additional membership. After R. C. Pollock of Chicago, assistant secretary of the American Farm Bureau Federation, had outlined a plan of action, the bureau directors, at a meeting held yesterday in the supervisors’ room at the courthouse, authorized a contract to be made with the California State Farm Bureau Federation for conducting a membership campaign in November.

The first week of the drive is to he devoted to publicity as the most suitable means of paving the way for the work to follow. The second week is to be consumed largely in a series of meetings in the farming communities of the county. Solicitation of members is to be the chief feature of the program for the third week.

D. H. Walker of Willows, president of the California Farm Bureau Federation, also was present at the meeting and spoke of the excellent work the organization has done and is doing.
