Adolescents’ bodies and brains are still developing, so when young people struggle with addictions, they can be negatively impacted in unique ways. Adolescents who have substance use disorders can experience impaired brain development, academic problems, and struggles with interpersonal relationships. They can also be at risk for developing mental health concerns. Our program, which includes day treatment levels of care, and intensive outpatient is designed to assist clients in their journey to understand and achieve through symptom management and the development of new life skills. While English Mountain’s residential rehab programs are available in 30 to 60-day periods, many residents end up prolonging their stay up to 90 days or more to deepen their recovery focus and strengthen their sobriety foundation.
