Lifetime sued for calling an unsuspecting family’s photo ‘ugly’ in Christmas movie

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

Lifetime has a new lawsuit to unwrap due to a scene in a recent Christmas movie.

A married couple filed the lawsuit against the network after a family photo appeared in the movie “Christmas Harmony” and was called “ugly” by one of the characters, TMZ reported.

Setiam and Katherine Allah claim they never gave their OK for Lifetime to use the photo in the movie, and they are now seeking all of the profits that the network earned from the flick.

The scene in question involves the character Harmony (played by Kelley Jake) attempting to place a pair of Christmas cards on a cabinet. A male character then insults the photos.

“They’re ugly,” he says sternly, after previously declaring they “ruin the whole aesthetic of the place.”

The movie premiered on the network in November.

The Allah family says they never sent that photo to Lifetime. They claim friends and family members informed them that they saw the picture while tuning in to the flick.

A rep for A+E Networks, the parent company of Lifetime, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
