It’s not every day you get to experience a good old-fashioned drive-in movie night — but thanks to Ozarka® Brand, the long-standing Texas institution is being reimagined this fall.

Along with Dallas Film, the 100 percent natural spring water brand will celebrate its roots by launching the first-ever Ozarka® Brand Drive-In Film Festival. On select weekends in October and November, Ozarka® will host a pop-up drive-in movie night in Dallas, Austin and Houston to showcase some of the films that best exemplify the true spirit of Texas (as voted on by Texans):

Frontline Friday

As part of the weekend festivities, Ozarka® will be reserving the Friday screening for some extra-special people throughout Texas: front-line and essential workers. The “Frontline Friday” event will take place on the night before each public screening to honor those who risk their lives daily in order to protect and serve the community. Saturday public screenings will be on a first-come, first-park basis.

Watch Short Films Made By Aspiring Student Filmmakers

Ahead of each event’s feature film, Ozarka® and Dallas Film will premiere several short films created by student filmmakers. The 2-to-3-minute films will focus on the beauty of Texas, and one of them will focus on the importance of recycling in the state.

“I am truly honored, blessed and thankful to have been chosen by Dallas Film and Ozarka® to be a part of this special film project to showcase the rich beauty and culture of Texas,” says student filmmaker Meredith Smith. “I am grateful for the opportunity to make all Texans aware that Ozarka® is committed to recycling so we can all keep Texas beautiful.”

Ozarka® To Donate $25,000 To Keep Texas Beautiful

To support the natural beauty and health of its home state, Ozarka® will donate $25,000 to the nonprofit Keep Texas Beautiful to fund programs that improve recycling access and education in rural Texas communities.

Ozarka® has also made another large commitment to recycling by recently announcing that it will use recycled plastic across its still water portfolio, including a line of 100 percent recycled and recyclable bottles. Ozarka® has been committed to Texas for more than 50 years. Through the Ozarka® Brand Drive-In Film Festival, the brand hopes to further this mission by celebrating and respecting the natural gifts and traditions of Texas, and encourages its community to do the same.

If attendees bring 10 empty recyclable bottles with them to the event, they’ll receive a premium gift bag filled with movie snacks from local businesses and fun Ozarka® goodies to enjoy during the film festival.
