Minnesota’s COVID-19 death toll is up to 7,512 with nine deaths reported Sunday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Another 173 infections were reported, taking the total to 603,760.
The actual number of infections likely is much higher since the data only represent those who have been tested, state officials said.
The total number tested as of Sunday was 4,341,776.
Sunday’s nine fatalities ranged in age from three people between the ages of 45 and 49, and two others who are between 90 and 94.
One of the nine was from a long-term care or assisted-living facility. Of the state’s 7,512 deaths, 4,456 were from such facilities.
HOW ARE PATIENTS DOING?
Of those infected with the virus as of Sunday, 594,691 had recovered to the point where they no longer need to be isolated.
A total of 32,412 have been hospitalized in Minnesota, with 6,573 of those admitted into an intensive care unit.

- The age group with the most infections remains 20-24-year-olds with 58,322 cases.
- The age group with the most deaths are 85- to 89-year-olds with 1,354 deaths, closely followed by 80- to 84-year-olds with 1,205 deaths, and 90- to 94-year-olds with 1,195 deaths.
