Woman arrested for stabbing in Selawik

Alaska State Troopers say that they have arrested a juvenile female for stabbing two victims in the community of Selawik.

The victims were transported to Maniilaq Medical Center in Kotzebue, according to troopers.

The incident was called around 5:34 a.m. on Tuesday after the victims had been medevaced from the Selawik Clinic to Kotzebue.

An investigation led to the suspect, who was arrested and turned over to Juvenile Intake.

Selawik is a community of about 800 located in the Northwest Arctic.
