Kanye West brings “Jesus Is King” to the big screen this week. Finally.

After teasing — but not delivering — a late September release of his upcoming spiritual album and film, the acclaimed rapper now looks to wide release “Jesus Is King” this Friday.

The film, directed by famed British fashion photographer Nick Knight, debuts Thursday night in participating IMAX cinemas.

Here’s where filmgoers in Middle Tennessee can catch “Jesus Is King” on the silver screen:

  • Regal Streets of Indian Lake & IMAX in Hendersonville
  • AMC Dine-In Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin

An adult ticket to see the film at AMC in Franklin costs $12.49 before taxes and fees; a ticket to the Regal showing costs $10 before taxes. Showings start Thursday at 7 p.m. and run for a week, per the “Jesus Is King” website

“Jesus Is King” brings “Kanye West’s famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, visionary artist James Turrell’s never-before-seen installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert,” the website said. “This one-of-a-kind experience features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album.”

West released last week a teaser trailer for “Jesus Is King.” Watch below.
