Celtic winger Scott Sinclair looks to be heading for the Parkhead exit as he completed a medical with Preston this afternoon.

The Englishman was granted permission to open talks with the Championship side and it appears the move is gathering some speed.

But Celtic are looking to make additions of their own as they are firmly in the hunt for a striker.

They have reportedly made a concrete approach for Le Havre star Tino Kadewere as Andraz Sporar remains a transfer target.

Stoke City star Tyrese Campbell is also on the Hoops radar but face competition from Rangers for his signature.

The Light Blues' priority this month is for Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson to trim a bloated squad.

However, they could be forced to fend off interest from Arsenal, Aston Villa and Sheffield United for Glen Kamara.

Reports down south claim Newcastle United are keen on Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier.

Meanwhile, Hearts are having a busy day as Daniel Stendel rings the changes around Tynecastle. Christophe Berra and Glenn Whelan have been axed while Jorg Sievers has been confirmed as the German's new assistant.

Kyle Lafferty also declared his interest in a return to the Jambos.

Dylan McGeouch is on the verge of signing for Aberdeen as Derek McInnes looks to finally be closing in on one of his long-term transfer targets.

Rovers eye Jones

Blackburn Rovers are weighing up a move for Rangers winger Jordan Jones.

Former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray, now in charge of the championship club, is a huge admirer of the Northern Ireland star.

He could now be ready to test the resolve of Rangers with a move for the ex-Kilmarnock star, possibly a loan deal until the end of the campaign with a view to a permanent deal.

Blackburn boss Mowbray has worked briefly with Jones, 25, at Middlesbrough and is an admirer of his pacy play, delivery from the wings and ability to unlock defences.

McGeouch salutes McInnes

(Image: SNS Group)

McGeouch is in line to make his debut in the home Scottish Cup clash with Dumbarton in the first game after the winter break.

And he can’t wait to get started with his new team and admits McInnes played a key role in convincing him to head north.

It has been a mad few days but I’m delighted to finally get up here and get everything sorted.

There were a lot of highs and lows last year. I have great memories and met a lot of good people but the last few months have been a bit frustrating so hopefully I can kick on again and get a run of games.

It was a big part of my decision to come up here. I spoke to Derek a few times over the years before I went down south he was on the phone trying to get me to come but I had my heart set on going to England.

When I heard he was interested I was delighted and finally we’ll get to work together.

Grezda makes Rangers farewell statement

Rangers flop Eros Grezda admits his time in Glasgow didn’t go as planned but insists he still wants his old team-mates to win the title.

The Albanian hasn’t played for Rangers since a 3-0 win over Motherwell last April and has been allowed to return to Croatian outfit Osijek.

Steven Gerrard and Mark Allen signed the winger for £2million in the summer of 2018 but a mixture of injuries and off-field problems meant he never got a regular run in the team.
