Drone captures Glen Allen Christmas wonderland

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A Glen Allen home decked out in lights is seen by a new vantage point in a new video taken by a photographer using a drone.

Daryl Watkins shot the video of the Thompson family home on Wendhurst Drive using a DJI Phantom 2 with a GoPro Hero 4 Black camera. Al and Esther have been decorating the Glen Allen home with tens of thousands of lights since 1999, but the birds-eye view really showcases the home.

In all, the home boasts 170,184 lights and 792 homemade decorations. It takes 537 hours to put it all up and requires 400 amp service with four breaker boxes, 50 breakers and 100 outlets.
