DARRELL FORTE SAYS THAT A MAN WAS BOOKED INTO THE DETENTION CENTER OVER THE WEEKEND. WE SAID SOMEBODY FOUND THE MAN UN OF THIS MORNING. WELL, THE MAN IS NOW DEAD. THERE’S NO WORD YET. Sheriff Darryl Forte said the man was admitted to the detention center over the weekend.

Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte said the sheriff's office is investigating after an inmate was found dead inside the Jackson County Detention Center Monday morning. Forte tweeted that his office is investigating the in-custody death of a 42-year-old man who was admitted to the detention center over the weekend. He said the initial investigation has revealed no foul play is suspected.The man was reportedly found unresponsive Monday morning and was declared dead a short time later."In-custody death investigation update: no foul play suspected, 42 yr old victim released from hospital on Saturday morning after spending two days in the hospital," Forte said in a tweet. "Medical examiner will determine cause of death."
