The Amarillo Bulls are geared up for their first true road trip of the season.

The Bulls will square off North American League South Division rival and defending Robertson Cup champion Shreveport, beginning at 7:11 p.m. tonight at the George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum.

The series concludes with the final game of the series coming on Saturday night.

Going into the contest, the Bulls (7-1, 14 points) are red hot, winning seven of their past eight games. The Mudbugs (4-4, 8 points) heads into their second home series of the year after splitting their two-game series with Corpus Christi this past weekend.

“Shreveport is a good hockey club,” Russo said. “I told the guys that I believe that they’re the second best team in our division, and that’s no disrespect to anybody else who plays in our division. Shreveport’s record doesn’t indicate the type of group that they have.”
