Loudoun County Coronavirus Update: 111 New Cases
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – There are 111 new cases of the coronavirus in Loudoun County as of Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 2,429.
The Virginia Department of Health reported 62 deaths on Friday, compared to the 63 deaths reported by the health department on Thursday.
There are 159 hospitalized patients in Loudoun County as of Friday.
To date, the county has tested 12,380 people and has had 13 coronavirus outbreak across the Loudoun Health District. There have been 299 coronavirus cases related to outbreaks and 86 coronavirus cases in health care workers.
As of Friday, Virginia now has 42,533 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 1,129 more cases in the past 24 hours. There are 4,529 hospitalized patients and 1,358 deaths.

Northern Virginia leaders say the region has met four of six criteria for the first phase of reopening, but did not request another delay in a letter to Gov. Ralph Northam. Inova Health System is seeking recovered patients who could help those continuing to fight COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
