PITTSBURGH, PA - Former Steelers running back Rashard Mendhenhall labeled quarterback Ben Roethlisberger a racist on Twitter Thursday before backtracking on the charge several hours later.

Mendenhall threw gasoline on the fire that is the seemingly never-ending feud between Roethlisberger and former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown with his initial tweet.

Mendenhall provided no specifics to the racism allegation and three hours later backpedaled mightily on his claim.
