DART Blue Line train fatally hits pedestrian in east Oak Cliff

A Dallas Area Rapid Transit Blue Line train fatally struck a pedestrian Friday evening in east Oak Cliff, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported.

DART police arrived about 9:15 p.m. at the scene at South Lancaster Road and East Saner Avenue, NBC5 reported.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials told the news station that the person had been in the train’s right of way between the Blue Line’s Kiest and Illinois stations.
