Michigan reports 10,428 new COVID-19 cases, 98 deaths over two days

Michigan reported 10,428 new cases of COVID-19 and 98 new deaths over two days since Saturday, Nov. 28, according to an update from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The state now has 9,134 confirmed deaths and 360,449 confirmed cases since March.

Michigan had a positivity rate of 14.15% Sunday, reporting that 7,731 out of 54,362 diagnostic test results returned were positive.

The state also updates outbreaks in schools and colleges on Mondays. There are 35 new outbreaks with 98 new cases, mostly among high schools and elementary schools.

Michigan has a fatality rate of 2.5% among known cases.

The state has reported 431 probable COVID-19 deaths and 28,493 probable cases.

The probable cases combined with the confirmed cases make for a cumulative total of 9,564 deaths and 388,942 cases.
