William Francis Leger, Jr., 58, of Johnston, RI, died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at home. He was the beloved partner and soulmate of Paula M. Tavares. Born in Seattle, WA, he was the loving son of Sally (Mann) Leger of Vernon, CT and the late William Francis Leger, Sr. William was employed as an IT Specialist for Putnam Investments in Franklin, MA and later was a Dock Manager at the Freedom Boat Club in Warwick, RI. William was a boating enthusiast, had a passion for Vanning and enjoyed building model tanks. He especially loved spending time with this family. In addition to his beloved partner and mother, William is survived by three loving children: Heather L. Descart and her fiancé Ed Dubaniewcz of ME, Katie Leger and her fiancé Corey Ferschke of Smithfield and William F. Leger, III and his girlfriend Shana Watson of Burrillville; two sisters: Elizabeth Lokiec and her husband Edward of Andover, CT and Kathryn Stackpole and her husband Will of Tolland, CT; seven cherished grandchildren: Kaydence, Joey, Riley, Alison, Billy, Corey and Lila; and his faithful canine companion: “Emerson.” His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Noon in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM ? Noon. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
