Browns' Odell Beckham Jr. to play Sunday: 'Finally the world gets to see this man'

BEREA, Ohio — There will be no dramatic game-time decision this weekend regarding Odell Beckham Jr. because the star wide receiver is officially back.

After Friday's practice, coach Kevin Stefanski said Beckham will play Sunday when the Browns (1-1) face the Chicago Bears (1-1) at FirstEnergy Stadium.

It will be Beckham's first game since he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Oct. 25 against the Cincinnati Bengals and had surgery No. 10.

"We all know what kind of talent he has and what he brings to the field, and he looked at me Monday and said, ‘It’s time,’ and I started rubbing my hands together," All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett said. "Finally the world gets to see this man. Now we just got to see that chemistry out there that we were missing last year. (Beckham and quarterback Baker Mayfield) can definitely be one of the best duos in the league, and they're here to show it.

"It’s fun to see great players do their thing — not really against us. But when they’re on our side or I get to watch them on TV, it’s fun to see players go out there and ball out, and I have the privilege to see him on my team."

Stefanski said he didn't know whether Beckham would be on a pitch count.

"Those are things we talk about during the game," Stefanski said, "but he’s ready to go.”

This season, the Browns had listed Beckham as a limited practice participant on their injury report until this week, when he fully participated Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

"There were no limitations," Stefanski said. "He did everything. He took every rep, and he felt good coming off this field.”
