Deceased infant's remains recovered from Brady Lake

Authorities are investigating the discovery of the remains of a deceased infant in the waters of Brady Lake on Friday, May 7, 2021.

BRADY — The remains of a deceased infant were discovered by a fisherman on Brady Lake at about 2 p.m. Friday, May 7, according to information released by the Brady Police Department.

The remains were found partially submerged in an ammunition container. The fisherman removed the container from the water and discovered the body inside, according to the Brady police.

Law enforcement was notified, and the incident is under investigation.

The area was closed off to water traffic and pedestrians. An autopsy will be performed Monday, May 10 at the Central Texas Medical Examiner's Office in Lockhart.
